Recently I put a deadly scratch in my old gigabyte mainboard so I replaced it with a new msi board.
At first I was sceptical of msi, but after using it for a few days I have to say I really like this msi 890GXM-G95
Its totally linux compatible, and runs totally stable (with the right settings). Another nice thing is that it has 2 full speed PCIE ports for crossfire video cards. Something worth noting though is that you need to flash the boards cmos to the latest version to get the ram running fast and stable.
